As indicated in the table, 58% of pupils at Brook House achieved the expected standard in reading, writing and maths (combined). This was down on the previous year and is an area we need to improve on. There was a large boys' cohort (45 compared to 35 girls) and the girls significantly outperformed our boys. Boys achieving at expected standard is an area we are now focusing on as a school.
The positives of this year's results are the increases in the amount of children achieving the higher standard which in maths, reading and Grammar punctuation has gone up for the third year running. Combined data for the higher standard of 14% is above national of 10% and double what we achieved in 2017.
Well done to all children and teaching staff at Brook House for their hard work and commitment.
