The School Admission Policy

We follow the C.Y.P.D.'s Admission Policy and do our best to co-operate with the wishes of parents. We aim to admit all Y2 children from Beighton Nursery Infant School, even though the numbers may exceed our Indicative Admission Number.

The C.Y.P.D.'s admissions criteria in priority order are:-

  • Pupils residing in the catchment area.
  • Pupils who will have a brother or sister at the school during the first year of attendance at the school.
  • Pupils who attend a contributory school to the admitting school but who do not live within its catchment area.
  • Any other pupils who do not fall into the above categories.
  • As a result of a court ruling all parents of children in separate Infant schools have to apply to the C.Y.P.D. for a place at a Junior school

Arrangements for Visiting the School

We always organise an introductory meeting for parents of the new September intake.

If you wish to visit the school you are very welcome to do so and we would ask you to telephone in advance in order to arrange a date and time which is mutually convenient.

Here at Brook House Junior School, we want every child to reach their full potential.

Good school attendance means that your child can make the most of their education, grow in confidence and make friends.
